Consumer Organic v4

The project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.

The 21st International Scientific Conference “GLOBAL PROBLEMS OF AGRICULTURE AND FOOD ECONOMY” was held on June 27-28. The conference was also attended by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Czeslaw Siekierski.

At the conference, the research results obtained from the implementation of the project “Consumer of Organic Food in the Visegrad Group Countries” on behalf of the research team were presented by:

  • Julia Wojciechowska-Solis (University of Life Sciences in Lublin) – “Consumer behavior in the organic food market. The example of the Visegrad Group countries”.
  • Joanna Smoluk-Sikorska (University of Life Sciences in Poznań) – “Barriers to consumptionvof organic food in V4 countries”.
  • Gyöngyi Györéné Kis (Research Institute of Organic Agriculture) – “Consumer habits of organic food in Hungary.”

The conference was attended by Julia Wojciechowska-Solis, Joanna Smoluk-Sikorska, Magdalena Smiglak-Krajewska, Mariusz Malinowski, Gyöngyi Györéné Kis representing such centers as the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, the University of Life Sciences in Poznań and the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture in Budapest.

Projekt jest współfinansowany przez rządy Czech, Węgier, Polski i Słowacji w ramach Grantów Wyszehradzkich z Międzynarodowego Funduszu Wyszehradzkiego. Misją funduszu jest promowanie pomysłów na zrównoważoną współpracę regionalną w Europie Środkowej.
