On 8 April, as part of the ‘Eat Organic – Save the Planet’ educational campaign, a lecture titled ‘Consumer behaviour in the organic food market in the V4 countries’ was held at the ÖMKi Sectoral Professional Day at the Faculty of Agriculture, Food Sciences and Environmental Management of the University of Debrecen. The lecture was a synthetic summary of the activities of the research team within the framework of the grant Consumer of Organic Food in the Visegrad Group Countries funded by the Visegrad Fund.
Participants in the lecture found out:
– what is the consumer profile of organic food in the different V4 countries,
– how to distinguish organic food from other types of food sold in retail outlets,
– what are the main barriers and incentives to buy organic food,
– what is the willingness to pay for organic food in the V4 countries.
